 | Rainbow Lances Down on Wellington Harbours Heads. Looking out my backdoor I saw this Rainbow over towards Eastbourne, so I rushed in and grabbed my camera. After taking a few pictures I turned to the south and realised that I had been taking pics of the dull end as the rainbow did a full arc, sea to sea! | |||

Standing on the roof of my car I caught this last picture of Mt Ruapehu, and virtually the last picture of that trip since the sun was departing fast and the rest of the journey home to Wellington was in darkness? I think it was a good journey and I remember it fondly, I just wish the purpose of it was achieved, but I don't think that will ever happen now. | |||

After I had found a place to stay for the night (a caravan for hire at the north end of the bay) and moved my gear out of the car etc, I looked around, there was a row of Norfolk Pines at the top of the beach obscuring much of the view, so off I went to have a wee look at the beach. It was like the whole bay had been lit by powerful pink floodlights, it really took my breath away? | |||

 | Sea and Clouds to the North of New Zealand. After the enjoyable drive along Far North Road, I arrived at Cape Reinga, and all there was was sea! Oh and clouds, and a lighthouse :) and a steady stream of visitors. You can just see the Three Knights Islands on the horizon at the right. | |||
