![]() | Yellow Roses. The bloom looks a little ragged, but it's standing up there proudly, with its young looking extremely rich, it's hard to believe they are on the same bush.

![]() | Never Thirsty Lion. Just next to the herb garden this lovely little fountain sits. It's not a great picture, but I think it gives the idea (perhaps I will return to get a better one), I think it is a wonderful little fountain, very un pretentious, and the colours are nice also.
| Bot Gardens, Wellington. 3:12 pm, Tue 6th Nov, 2007 | ||||
![]() | Two White Flowers in the Grass. I don't know what kind of flowers these are, they are about 2 cm's across perhaps, but they have a lovely look. It was a nice sunny day in the Botanical Gardens, and I was looking for butterflies?

![]() | Twig. I absolutely love this picture, it has colours, it has shapes, it has mystery, it's vibrant, yet it is just a humble twig on the tree with the two purple flowers.
| Pekapeka, north of Wellington. 5:20 pm, Fri 21st Sep, 2007 | ||||

![]() | Special Little Garden. I love the little Mickey Mouse in the aeroplane, even with a broken propeller he still has a indomitable smile on his face, and the wee pixie is so sweet. Just a special wee garden really, full of magic!

![]() | The Tree House. I'm not sure, but the trunk you can see in this picture may 'the tree'. I stayed in one of their small bungalows, and found the surroundings to be very relaxing and refreshing. I spoke with the owners for a short time before I left, and found them to be most interesting and 'caring' people.

![]() | The Tree House. The Tree House is a backpackers hostel, built in a secluded spot close to the waters of the Hokianga Harbour, amongst a wealth of largely introduced trees. A great place to stay!

![]() | Mamaku Stems. Native New Zealand bush is pretty moist stuff, much of the forest is classed as rain forest, and it is full of smells and mush, but it is also very refreshing to be in, so long as you don't plan on going far through the tangle of virgin bush.
